What a season! Over the past three months, we’ve hit five global hotspots, connected with 10,000 community members, and soaked up insights from four World Forums (Chicago, London, New York & Munich), plus the AI Summit in Washington D.C. Across every event floor, one message echoed loud and clear: AI is here, but to truly realise its value, you’ve got to nail the platform fundamentals first.

What does “nail the fundamentals” really mean?

In short, it means perfecting the basics.

ServiceNow is a powerhouse, transforming digital workflows and making work more intuitive. But behind every smooth user experience, there’s a lot happening under the hood. Teams are juggling feature builds, deployments, and bi-annual upgrades to keep the engine running. That’s why they’re looking for an easier way to manage business-as-usual. The manual approach just isn’t cutting it anymore.

The answer? Automation

With intelligent test automation, teams can:

  • Create tests at the click of a button
  • Automate test maintenance
  • Run regression tests across their entire platform
  • Stay upgrade-ready without stretching already limited resources

Seeing attendees experience the before-and-after impact during live demos (that moment when everything suddenly “clicks”) was truly one of the highlights for our team.

The role every team plays

Nailing the fundamentals isn’t just a platform owner problem. It impacts:

  • Platform owners who need stability and governance
  • Developers who want to ship faster without fear of breaking something
  • QA and testing teams that can’t scale manual testing
  • Service teams that rely on core modules being reliable and up to date
  • Leaders who need predictable delivery and confidence ahead of upgrades

Every persona feels the impact, which is why the conversations at our booth spanned everything from release cycles to AI readiness to quality assurance bottlenecks.

Spotlight on Platform Owners: The coordinators of “everything”

Platform owners still deserve a special mention, not because they’re the only team member we care about, but because they sit at the intersection of everything.

They’re often juggling daily operations, competing priorities, ongoing change, and unrelenting pressure to innovate faster. At the Chicago World Forum, our Chief Product Officer, Chris Pope, delivered a standout session that hit home for so many attendees.

Chris reminded us that Platform Owners don’t just need another tool; they need a solution that empowers teams to do more without extra overhead and sets them up for long-term success.

That means maturing their ServiceNow implementation by:

  • Expanding module adoption to break down silos
  • Connecting third-party integrations for end-to-end automation
  • Becoming truly AI-ready to unlock the full potential of Now Assist and other AI features

After Chris’s session, our booth buzzed with conversations. Many attendees shared how much the message resonated, that their challenges were finally understood, and that there’s a real, ready-to-go solution to help them move forward.

Preparing your team for AI, one step at a time

Yes, AI is no longer a “someday” concept. It’s here, and it’s creating huge opportunities for organisations that are ready for it. But many teams aren’t quite there yet, and that’s completely understandable. Most organisations are still focused on levelling up automation and tightening their DevOps processes, from test creation right through to documentation.

We’re excited to help teams become AI-ready, but we believe it starts with mastering the fundamentals. Our world-class test automation solution strengthens DevOps processes, reduces risk, and frees up capacity, so when you are ready to adopt AI, the foundation is already in place.

Let’s keep the conversation going
